Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics

Dr. Madison Keenan is originally from Oakland, CA and she attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she graduated from in 2020. Dr. Keenan completed her residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, CO. She has always found solace in nature, especially the mountains; so was terribly excited to move further west for residency and her now fulltime pediatrician position.

Dr. Keenan has a joyous personality and says the best thing about being a pediatrician is being a source of comfort and knowledge for families throughout childhood and especially during stressful times. She loves caring for children with complex medical needs and providing a medical home for all her patients’ families. When it comes to research and advocacy, she is passionate about understanding the impact climate change has on our children’s health and wellbeing.

When asked what drew her to the medical field she says, “I have always wanted to be just like my own pediatrician: a wonderful doc who provided compassionate care for myself and my brother from birth until we left for college. He inspired confidence in my physical health and strength, for which I am deeply grateful.”

In her spare time, Dr. Keenan loves riding her bike, backcountry and skate skiing, nurturing her bountiful indoor plant garden, and cuddling her cat, Joey. She and her boyfriend are new to Grand Junction and are loving getting to know the surrounding mountains.
