
DOCS on Call is an after-hours medical clinic established by Primary Care Partners to provide patient care after normal office hours. Open evenings, weekends, and holidays, DOCS on Call provides a cost-effective alternative to the hospital emergency room for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Please call to make an appointment before arriving. DOCS on Call services are provided by appointment only. You may call as early as 8 a.m. to schedule your after-hours appointment. DOCS on Call is an after-hours medical clinic provided by Primary Care Partners in service to our community.

Paul Preston,
Doctor of Medicine
Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians
Dr. Paul Preston is an internal medicine physician who has been with DOCS on Call, a division of Primary Care Partners, since 2017. Dr. Preston is from Des Moines, Iowa, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Arizona, and his Internal Medicine training at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Preston takes pride in obtaining accurate and detailed clinical information to provide the proper diagnosis and treatment for his patients. His experience treating, diagnosing, and supervising patients and teams in clinics around the world has given him a broad perspective on global health, and he uses this knowledge daily in work at DOCS on Call.
Dr. Preston has traveled to 35 countries– he was even evacuated from Lebanon during one of his trips. He can be found playing the keyboard in a blues band in his spare time.

Jeanne Haberer,
Doctor of Osteopathy
Dr. Jeanne Haberer is from Detroit, Michigan. She joined DOCS on Call, a division of Primary Care Partners, in 2018. Prior to that, she was adjunct faculty at both Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She completed her family practice training at St. Mary’s Medical Center and also trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Haberer completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Haberer strives to respond empathetically to her patients. She believes that treating patients with excellence involves using problem-solving skills to deliver the highest quality of patient care. She thrives in her role at the after-hours clinic to assist her patients with their urgent needs. Children and adolescents are some of her favorite patients to see in the clinic.
Dr. Haberer is the mother of two and enjoys jogging, hiking, paddleboarding, and gardening in her time away from work.

Jill Hilty,
Doctor of Medicine
A Michigan native, Dr. Jill Hilty has been practicing in the Grand Valley for over twenty years. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and her Family Practice Residency from the University of California Davis.
A love of science led Dr. Hilty to the field of medicine. Throughout her career, she has worn many hats and made a substantial impact on the residents of our community. She is passionate about global health, adolescent medicine, and reproductive health. Dr. Hilty is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical School.
When she is not working in the Grand Valley, Dr. Hilty teaches and assists clinicians working in refugee camps in East Africa and is the laboratory director for a small medical facility in northern Tanzania. She also volunteers throughout Grand Junction at local non-profits, and in her rare downtime, you can find Dr. Hilty painting, windsurfing, hiking, or biking.

Cassidy Sanders,
Physician Assistant
Cassidy Sanders joined DOCS on Call, a division of Primary Care Partners, in 2022. Cassidy completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Utah- School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT. He then continued on to A.T Still University in Mesa, AZ, receiving a Doctorate of Medical Science with an emphasis in Physician Assistant Education. Cassidy is originally from North Dakota and has been a Grand Junction resident since 2021.
Cassidy is specifically interested in urgent care and human physiology. He is also very passionate about education and teaches at Colorado Mesa University in the Physician Assistant program. He is happy to be involved in teaching students and serving his community.
Cassidy spends his free time, outdoors, with his wife and their two Pomeranians.

Kevin Fitzgerald,
Doctor of Medicine
Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald has been with DOCS on Call, a division of Primary Care Partners, since 2010. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1989 and trained in Family Medicine at Mercy Hospital in Denver. He practiced in Denver for 15 years before moving to Grand Junction.
He is the immediate past Chief Medical Officer for Rocky Mountain Health Plans and has served as the Mesa County Health Department Medical Director. He is also Adjunct Professor and Medical Advisor at Colorado Mesa University.
Dr. Fitzgerald focuses on whole-person care and collaboration within the community to positively impact health outcomes. He enjoys the clinic experience greatly and provides education to allow his patients to actively participate in their health care journey. As a physician who embraces light-hearted energy and is quick to laugh, Dr. Fitzgerald is focused on the end result while appreciating the journey.
In his time away from work, Dr. Fitzgerald can be found fly fishing, snowshoeing, and hunting. He delights in the nature of western Colorado.
