At Western Colorado Pediatrics, our clinicians provide exceptional and specialized care tailored to meet your family’s ever-changing needs as your children grow from infants to young adults. All of our physicians are board-certified, which means they have the most up-to-date knowledge and training on healthcare trends and best practices. Our highly trained and dedicated team of pediatricians and advanced practitioners are committed to delivering comprehensive, whole-person care—this means behavioral health providers can be embedded into routine well-checkups when needed. Because the needs of kids don’t follow regular office hours, Western Colorado Pediatrics offers 24/7 care with access to our on-call pediatricians through DOCS on Call. From infancy into adulthood—from boo-boos to annual check-ups through diagnosis and illness treatment— Western Colorado Pediatrics is focused on caring for our growing patients at every stage of life.

PEDIATRICIANS

Claudia Jantzer,
Doctor of Medicine

Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics

Dr. Claudia Jantzer attended the University of Colorado (CU) School of Medicine and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Her medical journey was an unconventional one—Dr. Jantzer did not attend college until the age of 30. Her first day of medical school was also her son’s first day of high school and her daughter’s first day of middle school. She found her way to pediatrics because she admired her children’s pediatrician. Dr. Jantzer enjoys helping young families live a healthy life and hopes to be a helping hand for Grand Valley families to achieve happiness and well-being. Her clinical expertise and warm bedside manner have made her a favorite among patients and parents alike.

When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Jantzer hikes and spends all her spare moments with her four sisters, her children, and her grandchildren.

Dr. Jantzer sees patients in both our Grand Junction and Fruita pediatric offices.
