We want our patients to understand that we don’t view tobacco use as just bad a habit, but as a chronic health condition that can lead to more serious conditions.
More than exercise or weight loss, if you are a smoker, quitting smoking (or chewing) is the single most important thing you can do to improve your health and reduce your risk of illness and loss of quality of life later.
Like any addiction, it’s not easy to quit, but we also know that the more motivated you are, the more successful you will be in kicking the habit.
Free Tobacco Cessation Program
Primary Care Partners offers patients coaching for tobacco cessation at no cost, along with samples of nicotine patches, lozenges or gum if appropriate, through it’s Tobacco Cessation Program funded in part by the Mesa County Health Department.
If you are ready to quit tobacco, let your physician know that you would like a referral to this program.
We’re here to help you on your journey to a more healthy tobacco free life.
