Primary Care Partners Selects Their First CEO

Primary Care Partners’ board of directors have selected Jack T. Thompson as their first chief executive officer. Thompson is scheduled to assume the new role on October 1, 2019. Primary Care Partners is a partnership of multiple primary health care practices located in Grand Junction and Fruita, Colorado.

Thomson is coming from Houston, Texas where he served as President and CEO of Health Matrix, LLC, a Multi-state healthcare company that consolidates, develops, and manages healthcare practices. He has also served as CEO at Summit Strategic Solutions, Inc. in Knoxville, TN; as President and CEO/Chief Financial Officer at Fempartners, Inc. in Houston, Texas; as Chief Financial Officer/Executive Vice President at Cardiovascular Ventures, Inc. in New Orleans, Louisiana; and as Chief Financial Officer/Senior Vice President at Health Infusion, Inc. in Miami, Florida.

Thomson holds a MBA in Finance and Management and a BS in accounting. He has significant experience directing growth and change management for multi-location integrated physician practices and has demonstrated success in transformation of healthcare from fee for quantity to Value Based Care and aims for healthcare that lowers cost of care, improves patient outcomes and increases provider and patient satisfaction.
